2026 Scholarships
The NYS Chapter will award one Manager Scholarship and two Dr. William D. Frye Student Scholarships annually, based on the availability of funds and the merit of the applications received. All applications are to be submitted by September 15, 2026.
Manager Scholarship | $2,500
The Manager Scholarship will provide up to $2,500 to support educational opportunities that assist the recipient in attaining the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation. Funds may be applied toward registration fees and reimbursable expenses directly related to travel, lodging, and attendance at CMAA educational programs and events. These funds may not be used toward CMAA membership dues.
Eligible applicants must be active CMAA members and may include General Managers, Chief Financial Officers, Assistant General Managers, Department Heads, Mid-Managers, and other club management professionals who are dedicated to pursuing the CCM designation.
Dr. William D. Frye Student Scholarship | $1,000 (Two Available Annually)
Named in honor of Dr. William D. Frye, a longtime educator, CMAA Faculty Advisor, mentor, and champion of student development, this scholarship recognizes his lasting impact on the club management profession and his dedication to preparing future industry leaders. Through his work at Niagara University and with CMAA student chapters, Dr. Frye inspired and guided countless students pursuing careers in hospitality and club management.
The Dr. William D. Frye Student Scholarship will provide $1,000 to be applied toward tuition expenses or attendance at local or national CMAA student conferences and educational programs. Eligible applicants must be active members of a CMAA Student Chapter and have current or previous employment or internship experience within the club industry, either locally or out of state.
Through this scholarship, Dr. Frye's legacy of mentorship, leadership, and commitment to the next generation of club professionals will continue for years to come.
